Ferne Millen is an internationally recognised photographer. Ferne completed her Bachelor in Visual & Performing Arts at Melbourne University ( V.C.A) majoring in Photography, in 2004. She has been running her business for almost 6 years and photographing for 17 years.
Ferne originally specialised in photography for the entertainment industry. This field enables Ferne to demonstrate her ability to capture the great moments of individual performances; a skill that comes from a shared passion and sensitivity to artistic processes.
Over time Ferne’s portfolio expanded to include clients with a diverse range of commercial interests. Some clients include GPAC, Sustainability Victoria, AIIA, Alcoa, Powercor, Universal Music and local enterprises. In approaching her work Ferne’s philosophy is to strive for photography with purpose and clarity. Ferne has been praised by many of her clientele for the crispness and depth she obtains in her photographs as well as the ability to capture truly ‘the essence’ of their businesses and operations.
Ferne’s professional qualifications, together with her natural talent and years of experience, enable her to bring a holistic approach to photography. This approach involves judgments on design and visual impact as well as technical skill.When engaged on a client’s behalf Ferne’s strength is to take an integrated creative approach; informed from an eclectic use and combination of art, design, music, theatre and photography.
Ferne develops a strong working relationship with her clients and enables them to grow as she does. Clients such as GPAC retain Ferne for many years and are able to develop their visual marketing with a strong act of support by Ferne.
